Does anyone have any experience using a ram prime on there basic press?

I was wondering what the advantage/disadvantages to using one would be compared with the hand priming tools.

The RAM prime screws in like a die and takes a shell holder. A rod with the spring loaded primer holder goes into the shell holder slot. It should work on any press. I think they included it with a lot of their older presses without the lever prime.
It works pretty well and gives a good feel of seating on their reloader press. It's main limitation is primers can only be loaded one at a time by hand(similar to the lever prime without the saftey prime). Only about $8.

Hey mdemetz -

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the heads up.

I have a Lee basic press without the lever prime that I got free when I purchased a new edition of Manual Reloading.

For only $8 seems like it's worth it.

Hopefully we see you around here a bit more!
